At what age did you discover your talent?Growing up with a father who’s a singer and an actor, you can’t help but to be influenced. During my childhood, I was fascinated by his image and work and I unconsciously tried to identify myself to him. Over time, my talent developed. When I finished my school studies, I decided to pursue a degree in business. I quickly realized that it wasn’t for me, as my passion took over and I decided to join the Fine Arts department of the Lebanese University; a decision which has changed my life.
What was the catalyst for your career as an actor?While I was a freshman at university, a nice opportunity was presented to me. I was proposed a role in a series entitled "FAMILIA", this role gave me public recognition and opened many doors. Overnight, writers, filmmakers and stage directors solicited me for my talent.You are a multi faceted talent; do you prefer Carlos the actor or Carlos the singer?Today I am both simultaneously. I cannot choose one over the other.
What was a monumental moment in your career?My role in the television series "El Layla el Ahira", which earned me the Murex D’Or award. Others followed the success of that role such as my roles in "Asser el HRIM" and "Wen Kenti".
You have played several roles, whether on television on our big screen. Who did you feel your formed a strong duo with?I have always felt comfortable in my roles, but my last duet with Rita Hayek was of great interest to the public, it was considered a “shock duo”. There was chemistry between us in a very obvious manner.
What projects do you have planned for the future?
Well, my fans will be happy to hear that the second season of "Wen Kenti" will be airing on LBC very soon. In the meantime, I'm currently between roles for two movies titles "Wel3ane", which should come out in December of 2016, and "Zafedian", which will be released to theaters next year in April 2017.
