Day 1: Fresh out of the showerWhenever possible, let your hair dry naturally. Unless you’re running late and need some help from a hair dryer, try to skip on using any heat on your hair. Apply a leave in conditioner while your hair is damp and run a brush through before it dries. Whether you decide to keep things natural or get a blow out, moral of the story is to let your hair down on day 1.
Day 2: The best daySecond day hair is the best in our humble opinion, there’s less flyaway and more texture to the hair which makes it the perfect time to get in there with a straightener or curler. We prefer going for loose curls, which can be achieved with a straightener or curler. Apply a bit of hair spray to lock it into place, but don’t go overboard in order to avoid stickiness.
Day 3: Get adventurousOn the third day, you will usually to go in with a dry shampoo right at the roots in order to keep the oils at bay. This is also the best day for a messy bun or a fun fishtail braid to the side. Once the dry shampoo is on and the hairstyle is up, trust us, no one will be able to tell what day your hair is on!
Day 4: Hats onSome people’s hair won’t allow them to get to day 4, but if it does, then we recommend either repeating the hairstyle from day 3 or going for a hat. Whether it’s a baseball cap, fedora, beanie, or wide-rimmed hat, the base of your hair will be covered which means that the only thing that you might need to do is touch up with a curler!
Day 5: Rinse thoroughlyGrab the shampoo, don’t skip the conditioner and if you have time, apply a hair mask to moisturize your hair!
This all might seem a bit odd to some of you, but using less shampoo and showering our hair less has really improved the health of our hair over time. If you’re skeptical about it, we invite you to try it out and share your thoughts!
