Harvard Foundation director S Allen Counter told People: “Rihanna has charitably built a state-of-the-art center for oncology and nuclear medicine to diagnose and treat breast cancer at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados.”
The singer, who just turned 29 earlier this week, is also an ambassador for her Clara Lionel Foundation -which she founded to aid "the fight against injustice, inequality, and poverty" across the world, and to improve "access to education and health" for people of all nations.
The Barbadian beauty visited Malawi and met with government officials and students there in January. She also welcomed Prince Harry to her native Barbados late last year as part of a campaign to raise awareness for HIV testing on World AIDS Day.
Rihanna is scheduled to pick up the award from Harvard University next week!
