Students at the American University of Beirut set a world record for the biggest Lebanese flag constructed out of notebooks on May 9th, in order to raise awareness on the quality and accessibility of education in public schools.
Over 60,000 notebooks were placed on the AUB’s Green field. The final red notebook was placed by Martyr Colonel Dany Harb’s son in tribute to the Lebanese Army and its martyrs. The books used for the flag will be donated to 60,000 students that attend Lebanese public schools.
