Cello Concert Held at Beirut’s Abandoned Grand Theatre!

The Lebanese people have begun to reclaim abandoned and forgotten spaces in their country, including the Grand Théâtre de Beyrouth, located in Riad el Solh, where a free cello concert was held. The landmark building was built in the 1930s and is of the remaining gems of pre-war Beirut.

The theater was considered a cultural icon and was a venue for all sorts of performances from around the world. The theatre was abandoned during the civil war, and it has been fenced off from the public since the early 1990s.
