Following on from the incredible success of previous single ‘Medicine,’ DXB-based Lebanese singer Hadi returns to form with ‘Carry You,’ his fourth single for Universal Music.
Where ‘Medicine’ was the perfect example of a singer songwriter at the top of their game, ‘Carry You’ is a finely honed pop tune with a strong urban influence. The clever singer songwriter influence is still there with the carefully crafted lyrics and sweeping musical moments. But on ‘Carry You,’ it’s been married to rolling snare fills, a clever use of space and some tropical melodies to give it a 2018 pop sound. And when the angelic strings and echoing guitars chime in around two minutes in, you’d be forgiven for thinking Coldplay wrote this at their X&Y peak.
Since making the move into music in 2012, he’s performed alongside Sting’s guitarist Dominic Miller and UK pop star Jess Glynne and was recently picked up by Red Bull and MTV. On top of that, Hadi’s had impressive success with his previous tracks: ‘Sun Will Rise’ charted on iTunes in the UAE and both ‘Sun Will Rise’ and ‘Invincible’ made it big in America, charting at #12 on prominent New York radio station Brooklyn M3. More recently, his track ‘Medicine’ was playlisted by Apple Music and Anghami, was picked up on radio across the Middle East and led to a series of interviews and features
