How to Overcome Jet Lag

Traveling is one of the best experiences in life, there’s nothing like going abroad and discovering a new country and its culture, but there is one factor that may lead to a bumpy ride: jet lag. The farther you get from home, the harder it is to adjust to a new time zone. Here are some tips to help you overcome jet lag so that you can make the most of your trip abroad!

  1. Set your watch to the new time zone:

Start thinking like you’re already at your destination. This will help you quickly adapt to the new time zone.

  1. Sleep/Don’t sleep on the plane:

Depending on the time of arrival, adjust your sleeping pattern while on the plane. If it’s 11:00 PM in the place of your arrival, while you’re on the plane, catch some zzz’s!

  1. Drink a lot of water:

This is something everyone tells you about air travel, but they’re totally right! Your body needs to be hydrated in order to function properly; this includes adapting to a new time zone.
