Lashana Lynch will take on the famous role of MI6 agent ‘007’ in the new 25th Bond film! Lynch has made history as the first black female actress to play the role, usually played by white British actors.
The 31-year-old actress played the role of Maria Rambeau alongside Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson in Captain Marvel.
Although she did not have a lot of screen time, her audition made an impression on the filmmakers. Writer and director Ryan Fleck told Empire: “When she auditioned for the part she read with Brie, and literally made me cry during her audition. “It takes a lot to make me cry, and I was hiding in the corner trying to wipe my eyes […] I talked to her about it later on, and she said, ‘You know what? Even if I didn’t get it, that felt good.'”
We can’t wait for more details about the new Bond film to be revealed!
