MICROWAVE POPCORN

Nights are getting really cold and shorter, so many of us like the idea of staying indoor, in the cozy of the house. So what better way to spend cold nights in than watching Netflix while munching on yummy popcorn treats. Our treat to you, 8 super easy recipes to pop in no time!

1-Chocolate and salted caramel popcorn

Add 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels to 1 tbsp of oil i a large saucepan over moderate heat. Cover with a lid and leave on until popcorn starts to pop. To avoid burning it, remove from the heat.

Once the popping has stopped completely, transfer to a large bowl, 100 ml of caramel sauce and 1 tbsp of dark chocolate chips and mix well.

Serve immediately.

2-Salted caramel popcorn with almonds

Preheat the oven to 250°F. Line a large roasting pan with parchment paper and fill will ready-made popcorn. Top with roasted salted almonds and keep warm in the oven.

Melt 1/2 cup of butter in a saucepan, stir in 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/4 cup of corn syrup and 1/2 tsp of salt, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and stir in 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1 tsp of baking soda.

Pour the mixture in a thin layer over the baked popcorn, and use tongs to mix the popcorn, the almonds and the caramel thoroughly.

Put the dish back into the oven and bake for 45 min, but every 15 min, pull te dish out and break up the caramel corn.

After 45 min, let it cool completely before breaking into small pieces.

3-Sour cream and onion popcorn

Place a saucepan with 2 tbsp of coconut oil and popcorn kernels over medium heat, and cover with a lid. Move the saucepan back and forth until the popping slows down. Remove from the heat and set aside in a large bowl.

Drizzle popcorn with olive oil and toss well. In a small bowl, mix 3 tbsp of chopped fresh dill with 3 tbsp of grated Parmesan, 3 tbsp of powdered milk, 1 tbsp of onion powder, 1 tsp of garlic powder, salt and pepper. Pour it over the popcorn and mix well. Season additionally if needed.

4-Cinnamon bun popcorn

Preheat the oven to 250°F. Place ready popcorn and 1/2 cup of chopped pecans in a large bowl and set aside. Combine 1 cup of brown sugar and 3/4 tbsp of cinnamon powder in a microwave-safe bowl and stir well.

Chop 1/2 cup of butter into chunks and place on top of sugar mixture, add 1/4 cup of corn syrup or honey and microwave on high for 30 sec, just to soften the butter. Stir to combine. Microwave again for 2 minutes, stir, microwave again for 2 min, and add in 1 tsp of vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp of baking soda. Mixture will bubble up.

Pour over popcorn and pecans and stir well to coat. Spread onto an oven sheet cover with parchment paper and bake for 30 min, stirring every 10 min. Allow to cool.

Microwave 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips until melted, and drizzle over popcorn using a fork. Let it cool before breaking it into pieces

5-Chunky monkey popcorn

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Cover with the ready popcorn. Melt 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips in the microwave, by microwaving 30-second segments. Stir each segment until melted. Drizzle melted chocolate over the popcorn and wait for it to harden.

Break up into small chunks into a bowl and toss with 1/2 cup of banana chips and 1/2 cup of peanut butter chips.

6-Taco popcorn

Heat 1 tbsp of coconut oil in a saucepan and add kernels. Cover with a lid. Move the saucepan back and forth until the popping slows down. Remove from the heat and set aside in a large bowl. Immediately sprinkle with 2 tbsp of Taco seasoning, and salt, and toss to combine.

For an extra-yummy version, toss the popcorn with melted butter.

7-Bacon, Parmesan and Ranch popcorn

Have 8 cups of popcorn ready in a bowl. Drizzle 1/3 cup of melted butter over the popcorn and toss to coat. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of bacon bits, add 2 tbsp of Ranch seasoning and 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the popcorn and mix gently. Serve immediately.

8-Caramel Marshmallow popcorn

Put ready popcorn in a large bowl, add 3 cups of mini-marshmallows and mix. Set aside.

Combine 3/4 cup of butter, 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of corn syrup into a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Let boil for 3 min while stirring. After 3 min, remove from heat and add 2 tsp of vanilla extract and 1 pinch of baking soda, stir and pour over the popcorn, mix thoroughly and let cool for 15 min.
