Tomorrow is International Nurses Day, the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, and it is the perfect day to focus on the true value of nurses to the people of the world. And this year is extra special, as the WHO has designated 2020 The Year of the Nurse and Midwife.

The theme for this year, “Nurses: A voice to lead – Nursing the world to health”, demonstrates how nurses are central to addressing a wide range of challenges. Hopefully, this year’s efforts will help raise the profile of this profession, and attract more resources and a new generation into the nursing field.

All around the world, nurses are working tirelessly to provide care and attention, and with the global pandemic this year, their profession has proven even more unique in the healthcare landscape, as they are the first on the frontlines to protect lives.

Today, more than ever, they need your support to raise awareness on their rights. You can help by sharing this video !
