What’s Happening with Aaron Carter?

You might be confused as to why the name ‘Aaron Carter’ is in the news lately, and we’re here to attempt to clarify why. Before moving forward, no we haven’t traveled back in time to the early 2000s, it’s 2019 we’re talking about Aaron Carter.

Long gone are the days where the only drama associated with Aaron was, “is he dating Lindsay Lohan or Hilary Duff?”.

He’s back in the news now because of some serious family drama involving older brother Nick Carter from The Backstreet Boys. Earlier this week Nick Carter made allegations in a statement that stated that he and Aaron’s twin sister, Angel, were seeking a restraining order against Aaron, after Aaron allegedly said that he thought about harming his brother’s wife and unborn child.

“In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family,” shared Nick on Twitter.

Aaron denied these allegations according to a phone interview with Aaron by the Los Angeles Times, adding that his brother is “using his power and publicists” to attempt to silence him.

Aaron has since accused his late sister Leslie Carter, who died at age 25 in 2012 after suffering from a drug overdose, of sexual abuse, tweeting: “My sister Leslie suffered from bipolar and took lithium to treat it. She never liked the way it made her feel and when she was off of it she did things that she never meant to do I truly believe that. I was 10 years old…. my sister raped me from the age of 10 to 13 years old when she wasn’t on her medications and I was absused not only sexually by her but by my first two back up dancers when I was 8 years old. And my brother absused me my whole life.”

He then tweeted, “Now it’s nicks turn to tell the truth of what he did to one of the girls in my family. Since my truth is all out there and I hope all survivors of assault or rape find peace and justice.”

Nick has not responded to his brother’s latest tweet.
